KACI BRENNER
School Counselor
Mrs. Brenner is starting out her third year as our school counselor here at Lakeview. She meets with students individually or in a group setting to provide support and also help students grow in different areas. She received her master's in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University. Outside of work she loves spending time with her family and tending to her many plants.
ELEMENTARY TEACHING STAFF
KARLA LINICK
Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Linick has a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois. She has been in education for over 27 years and has a passion for helping children grow academically and spiritually.

MARIE FORSHEY
1st Grade Teacher
Although Mrs. Forshey has worked in education for many years, teaching phonics and reading to young students is her passion. She loves being the first-grade teacher here at LCS and is thankful to be able to combine not only her passion of reading education, but also being able to teach the love of Jesus to her first graders, whom she affectionately calls her “firsties”.

LAURA PLUMMER
2nd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Plummer has a B.S in Art and a Transition to Teaching Certification from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has over a decade of experience working with and educating children.

LORENA PEARSON
3rd Grade Teacher
Mrs. Pearson has a B.S. and M.A. in Elementary Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and Ball State University, respectively. She has 38 years’ experience teaching and educating children.

CHRISTIAN HANCOCK
4th Grade Teacher
Mr. Hancock earned his B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Education from Ashford University. He has spent the last several years in education teaching Honors Level Social Studies, working with Special Ed programs, and teaching 4th grade. Before that he had a twenty-one-year career in business administration, and government finance. Mr. Hancock attends Hanfield GMC.

TREVOR LINICK
5th Grade Teacher
Mr. Linick, who goes by “Mr. L” in his classroom, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling + Discipleship. Though becoming a teacher was not something he had planned for his life, God has given Mr. L a special passion for teaching and discipling people of all ages. His desire is to see his students succeed academically, behaviorally, socially, and most importantly, spiritually. Mr. L and his wife Lexie serve on staff at Marion First Naz.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHING STAFF
JACOB CRIST
Math Teacher
Mr. Crist earned his Bachelor’s of Social work in 2022 and his Master’s of Social Work in 2023 from Indiana Wesleyan University. Since graduating he has been working in the field of social work for the last three years. He is transitioning into teaching middle school math and fundamentals this upcoming school year. He is the outreach leader at his church Southside Wesleyan Church. He is dedicated to meeting the child where they are and helping them meet their highest potential.

DEBBIE HARSH
English and Bible Teacher
Miss Harsh teaches Language Arts as well as Bible classes. She has a passion for serving middle school students and appreciates impacting students’ lives both spiritually and academically. Miss Harsh has over 35 years’ experience in education and holds a B.S. from Clark Summit University and an M.A. from the University of Indianapolis. Additionally, she has a current Professional Educator's License from the State of Indiana and has a lifetime ACSI certification.

KRAG JOHNSON
Social Studies and Science
​Mr. Johnson is graduate of Liberty University with an M.A. in Executive Leadership/Human Services. After completing a B.A. in Biblical Studies, he began ministering in Christian Education which eventually led to his passion of teaching for the last 25 years. He loves biking wherever there is a road. He also enjoys reading and writing and spending time with his family

SPECIALS TEACHING STAFF
GARY CREECH
Physical Education and Elementary STEAM Teacher
Mr. Creech graduated from IWU with a degree in Recreation Management/Therapy. He and his wife, Riann, have been therapeutic horseback riding instructors for over 25 years and have a program call Hoofprints in Converse. Mr. Creech has three children and looks forward to whatever God has in the future.

RIANN CREECH
Elementary and Middle School Music Teacher
I am Mrs. Creech! I studied classical voice at IUPUI and have a background in teaching children's choirs. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I am on the worship team at Amboy Friends Church and help my husband who is the youth pastor there as well. We have three kids, two in college and one getting married this fall. We lead a busy life, teaching horseback riding lessons and summer camps, April - November, in addition to our "normal" jobs. Using horses and music to teach kids about God is something I never dreamed I could do. God has blessed me with the opportunity to use my skills and talents to teach young people about God's love for them and I am eternally grateful!

DR. IONA HALLIDAY-SIMMONDS
Middle School STEAM Teacher
Dr. Halliday-Simmonds is thrilled to be teaching STEAM to middle school children. She is passionate about working with youths and is excited for an opportunity to impact their lives in a manner that would lead to greater positive societal change. She has worked in higher education as a lab technician for 22 years and as a teaching assistant of microbiology for 12 years. Dr. Halliday-Simmonds has a BSBA in Health Services Management, a MPA in Healthcare Management and a DBA with concentration in Healthcare Management and Leadership. As an educator she thrives when she is able to share in the light bulb moments with students and look forward to what God will do in the lives of our future leaders.

CINDY BRASWELL
Special Education Coordinator
Mrs. Braswell has taught in various capacities for over 40 years in public, Christian, and home education settings. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a BS in special Education, working with Emotionally Disturbed Children and Children with Learning Disabilities. Her M.A. from Ball State is in Special Education, focusing on children with Autism.
