HEAD OF SCHOOL
Mr. Simos joined the LCS team in the fall of 2017 as the elementary principal. He is excited to journey in to a new role this fall as the K-12 principal.
Mr. Simos enjoys peanut butter and camping.
Mr. Roberts earned his B.S. from Ball State University in Elementary Education in 2009 and his M.A.E. in Administration and Supervision from Ball State University in 2017. He has been teaching for the past 10 years. He coached middle school football and basketball for 12 years and was the former athletic director of the West Jay Community Center in Dunkirk, IN.
He attends Collett Church of the Nazarene outside of Portland, IN. He enjoys serving his community, and he enjoys seeing children grow and learn in all areas of life.
DEAN OF STUDENT
Mrs. Shrontz started at LCS in 2012 teaching mathematics. In her role as the Athletic Director, she has rejuvenated the extra-curricular teams and is excited to launch new sports in the near future. Mrs. Shrontz leads student council, oversees service projects, works closely with secondary students and families, and is the senior class sponsor.
Mrs. Shrontz holds a B.S. in Physical Education from University of Southern Indiana.
Mrs. Hertzog joined the Lakeview team in the summer of 2019. Prior to that, she served as an elementary school counselor in a public school setting. As a licensed school counselor, Mrs. Hertzog is dedicated to advocating for and supporting the academic, personal/social, and career needs of all students through counseling, conflict resolution, consultation with teachers, collaboration with community partners, school-wide initiatives, academic guidance, and college & career planning. She aims to exemplify the unconditional love of Jesus to her students and desires to help them discover their unique identity and endless value as children of God. Mrs. Hertzog is also passionate about social justice issues and using her role as a school counselor to help build healthy families and facilitate change in the community.
Mrs. Hertzog received her BA in Psychology from Milligan College and her MA in School Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a member of the American School Counseling Association and serves as an adjunct professor for IWU’s Graduate Counseling Department where she helps teach and train future school counselors.
