Our faculty have served the children of this community with ceaseless determination and commitment since the founding of our school.
Mr. Roorbach served as a teacher and head administrator at Lakeview for 11 years. He holds degrees from Kentucky Mountain Bible College, Indiana Wesleyan University and Ball State University. Some of his pastimes include golf, travel, walking and politics. Mr. Roorbach's favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:33. Mr. Roorbach's new role with LCS involves heading the school committee. He will continue to serve and to promote LCS within the church and community. Thank you, Mr. Roorbach, for your selfless service to the families and staff of LCS!
Kindergarten Mrs. Curtis has taught kindergarten for 28 years at Lakeview. She holds a master's degree in education from Ball State University. Some of her pastimes include reading and spending time with family. Mrs. Curtis's favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
First Grade Mrs. Webb has taught at Lakeview for 18 years. She is a 1992 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. Some of her pastimes include camping and spending time with her children. Mrs. Webb's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13.
Second Grade Mrs. Hamlin has taught at Lakeview for 24 years. She attended Miltonvale Wesleyan College, Marion College (IWU) and Indiana University, receiving degrees in elementary education. Some of her pastimes include studying the Bible, reading, traveling and hospitality in her home. Mrs. Hamlin's favorite Bible verse is John 16:33.
Third Grade Mrs. Pearson has taught third grade for 25 years at Lakeview. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a master's degree from Ball State University. Some of her pastimes include flower gardening and bargain shopping. Mrs. Pearson's favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11-13.
Fourth Grade Mrs. Miller has taught at Lakeview for 19 years. She is a graduate of Wheaton College and holds a master's in education from Indiana Wesleyan University. Some of her pastimes include cooking and quilting. Mrs. Miller's favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10.
Fifth Grade Mrs. Skinner has taught at Lakeview for 10 years. She holds a degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Some of her pastimes include reading and spending time with family. Mrs. Skinner's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 119:174-175.
Music, Computer skills and Coordinator for enrichment classes Mr. Kline has taught at Lakeview for 29 years. He holds degrees from Huntington University, Manchester College and Ball State University. One of his favorite pastimes is cooking. Mr. Kline's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13.
Office Manager This is Mrs. Smelser's third year at Lakeview. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and her master's degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Some of her hobbies include editing, writing and reading. Mrs. Smelser's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:5-6.
